I got up early to a very cold morning. 39 degrees so I layered up
had breakfast, packed, aired tires and took off. I found this day to be mentally challening. The desert landscape went on for 40 miles with very little change. I rode along most of the day in my own thoughts, aware of bird calls and the push of the larger vehicles that sped past.
I was so grateful for the SAG vehicle where I could refuel and catch a visit with some of the other women.
There was a gentle rise all day except for the last dozen downhill miles into Wickenburg or was it a desert mirage?
I rode strong so i'm not sure
