Our ride today was 42 miles. I was SAG, we traveled through 2state
parks with some 16% climbs.
They call this area the Lost Pines of Texas,it's an isolated forest of
Loblolly Pines.
Roosevelt's CCC transformed this over-cut forest with transplated
trees and construction with native materials. Stonework is still
visible today and wood workmanship can be seen in the carved mantles
and roof beams in the stone cabins
Sorry no pix of the cabins
